Once Inventory and Utilization have occurred, you can use the data and the Server Consolidation Application (SCON) Wizard to accurately forecast resource utilization between Hosts. SCON provides cross-platform support with the ability to analyze potential consolidation across operating system versions and the same or different platforms between different server configurations.

SCON is a server consolidation analysis, planning, and design tool and uses information from data collection and utilization to size targets servers and select existing servers for consolidation

SCON automates a great deal of the effort and eliminates much of the uncertainty in analyzing, planning, and designing configurations for consolidating servers to reduce costs and resources, such as man-hours, hardware, maintenance, and replication.

Resources can be categorized into Groups for ease in maintenance of large networks. You can configure user-defined fields to track data not hard coded into your hardware, such as where the server was purchased and how much it cost.
