Automated Professional Service Deliverables (APSD)

Automated Professional Services Deliverables (APSD) enables the creation of customized service deliverables documentation driven by ISI-Snapshot data, user defined business rules, and custom document templates. This information automatically produces the data driven customer deliverable documents. APSD includes:

  • A platform for the fast and easy creation of professional services assessment documentation.

  • Low product complexity and highly automated features allow this solution to be implemented and delivered by the Technical Sales Team.

  • A rules driven solution with rule and output content owned by the partner.

  •  “Real data” collected in the client’s environment and the partner’s intellectual capital as reflected in the rules.

  • Ability to integrate directly with ISI-Snapshot.

  • The use of industry standard formats.

  • Rules created in XML or Microsoft Excel and are proprietary to your organization.

  • Document templates and output content uses Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Documents that can be edited or modified post creation without special tools.

ISI Snapshot System Dependencies: Overview

  • Provides an automated, easily deployable application for the collection of device dependencies.

  • Provides complex data of high value obtained with minimal complexity and impact on the infrastructure.

  • Collects and stores device dependencies leveraging ISI-Snapshot’s proven inventory and utilization collection features.

  • Reports key data elements necessary for consolidation architects to accurately and efficiently identify inter-dependencies for devices, applications and services:

  • Local host to foreign host relationships by IP Address and Hostname, TCP/UDP Ports/Applications in use including state and responsible executable (where collection tools for such are available) (Server Dependency Inventory)

  • Storage dependencies from the Host HBA to SAN Port, SAN Fabric, Storage to the Storage LUN. (Storage Dependency Inventory)

  • The objective of this feature group is to provide an exhaustive list of dependencies a single device may have on other infrastructure devices such as:

  • Routers/gateways

  • Storage

  • NFS mounts and exports

  • Directory Service Servers

  • DNS servers

  • License Servers

  • SAN Switches

Storage File Search

Network Appliances proprietary operating system Data-ONTAP is very stable and reliable but, does not provide the capability to view the directory paths, views and attributes of files that reside on the volumes, and QTrees of the Storage Appliances.

The ISI-Snapshot File Storage Search utility enables you to quickly and reliably determine the content of the Storage Appliances volumes and QTrees. To determine what files reside on a NetApp CIFS share, you must map the drive to a Windows host and view the contents of the share. The Storage File Search utility automates this process by sequentially mapping to each CIFS Share, scanning directory path, File Names, Extensions and Attributes, and disconnecting from the Share after the Scan has completed.

Storage Summary

Storage Summary allows you to search files on NetApp Storage system.
